With more than 35 years of experience in the power line industry, Mark possesses knowledge and technical expertise acquired from working on numerous transmission and distribution projects across North America. He has established a reputation as a skilled and safety-conscious journeyman and leader, garnering the trust of our customers.

As our Operations Manager, Mark is accountable for supervising aspects of safety, quality, and execution for distribution and transmission projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and promptly. He also oversees resource planning and work scheduling, ensuring our teams provide high-quality services in a safe working environment.

John Rogers | Owner & Contracts Manager

Having spent more than 20 years in the power sector, John's extensive experience enables him to comprehend and cater to the financial and scheduling demands of clients. John has played a vital role in building new customer relationships and extending the scope of company operations throughout North America.

In his role as Contracts Manager at Maple Leaf Power, John assumes responsibility for diverse inputs and outputs such as account and quality management, customer relations, issue resolution, management of key performance indicators, and devising and executing continuous improvement strategies.

Ed Marbach | Safety Manager, CRSP, CUSP, CHSC

With a career spanning more than 25 years in the power line industry, Ed has been instrumental in developing and managing Maple Leaf Power's Occupational Health and Safety Program since inception. In addition to being a Red Seal Power Line Technician, Ed is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, a Certified Health and Safety Consultant, a Canadian Utility Safety Professional, and a Primary Care Paramedic for British Columbia Emergency Health Services. He has a thorough understanding of safety regulations of WorkSafeBC, FortisBC, and BC Hydro, having previously worked in the safety department of a utility. Ed's extensive experience and qualifications make him an invaluable asset to the company, enabling him to implement and manage robust safety programs that prioritize the well-being of our employees and customers.

Grant Koroscil | Operations Foreman

Grant brings over 20 years of invaluable experience to the power line industry, having worked on numerous projects ranging from 4kV to 500kV throughout North America. This diverse range of projects has equipped Grant with the knowledge and expertise necessary to effectively plan, coordinate, and execute projects at Maple Leaf Power. With a track record of completing stringing, helicopter, underground feeder cable, install splicing, and distribution maintenance projects, Grant is well-versed in all aspects of power line work. In his role as Foreman, Grant is responsible for ensuring that site safety, quality, and execution are maintained at the highest level on specific distribution and transmission projects. Grant is also responsible for coordinating outages and higher-level planning within Maple Leaf Power, ensuring that crews work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Karl Nichols | Operations Foreman

Karl has been in the power line industry for over two decades, having worked on a significant number of transmission and distribution projects throughout North America. His extensive experience has equipped him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to lead Maple Leaf Power crews in the field. Karl is respected among his peers and has built a reputation as a safe and knowledgeable leader, both within the company and throughout the industry.

As Foreman, Karl is tasked with overseeing all aspects of site safety, quality, and execution on specific distribution, transmission, and other projects, ensuring that crews work safely and efficiently. Additionally, Karl is the Chief of the Pender Harbour First Nation and oversees a council of those indigenous to an area of the Sunshine Coast region.

Mason Oglow | Operations Foreman

With over a decade of experience in the power line industry, Mason has established himself as a valuable asset. He has successfully completed numerous projects across British Columbia and Alberta, including five years on a rubber glove crew, as well as the Jasper Interconnection Project, and several other transmission and distribution projects. Mason's expertise enables him to skillfully plan, coordinate, and execute projects at Maple Leaf Power with confidence.

As Foreman, Mason assumes responsibility for ensuring site safety, quality, and execution on specific distribution, transmission, and other projects. He is well-versed in overseeing crew members and ensuring they work safely and efficiently. With his attention to detail and experience in the field, Mason is a crucial member of the Maple Leaf Power team.

Mike Wert | Civil Operations Manager

With over 20 years of experience in civil, industrial, municipal, and residential construction sites, Mike Wert is a highly skilled and safety-conscious worker. He operates large-scale equipment and is well-versed in excavating areas with highly sensitive conduits such as electrical power lines and natural gas, as well as both municipal and private sewer systems. Mike is a reliable and hardworking team player, equipped with strong interpersonal skills and a talent for multitasking. His expertise includes building roadways, constructing trenches and ditches, developing subdivisions, and providing maintenance of city streets, stormwater systems, water and sewer infrastructure, and civic facilities.

Mandy Nielsen | Traffic Control Supervisor & Dispatch

With over a decade of experience in the industry, Mandy is a valuable member of the team at Maple Leaf Power, where she takes on a multifaceted role in traffic control. She conducts permitting, scheduling, and supervision of traffic control crews, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills enables her to effectively manage the team and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Mandy works closely with other departments and stakeholders, such as city planners, engineers, and law enforcement, to ensure that traffic control measures are integrated seamlessly into larger projects.

With over thirty years of operations experience in the power, electric, and energy industry, Paul Mackintosh is a distinguished executive leader. He has a proven track record of producing revenue and managing large, multi-division workforces in a public company environment. Paul is a commercially and entrepreneurially minded individual who is innovative and delivery-focused, with excellent communication skills. He has a successful history of building teams that thrive on challenges.

Paul has held leadership roles in the global market across various sectors, including water, power, renewables, and the development of large-scale overhead transmission line and substation projects. He is well-versed in a variety of contract models and complex framework agreements and has experience working with several funding agencies.
